To bring a fuller understanding of dementia and is suitable for all staff within care provisions, including maintenance staff, housekeeping and kitchen staff on induction and as a refresher.

To promote recognition of common early warning signs (NEWS2) for a number of different medical conditions and the importance of assessing, responding and effectively managing deterioration in health and well-being.

To actively support and promote privacy and dignity, respect and confidentiality within the care or support environment.

End of Life Care, ACP, ReSPECT, DNACPR

To promote the understanding and good practice required to working positively with someone with a life limiting condition, to live well until the end of life.

Restrictive Practices & The Mental Capacity Act

Mapping to the DOH framework for a ‘Positive and Proactive Workforce’ this course identifies strategies and interventions to reduce the use of restrictive practices in health and social care services.
